2026.4 — April 2026
Hello there, due to significant issues with the Lemon Squeezy platform, we’ve decided to anticipate the next April release to introduce Polar.sh as a new merchant of record. This core change also makes us more accessible globally by allowing us to set prices in various currencies.
Starting today, anyone purchasing a licence of the Vira Theme for JetBrains (other platforms will migrate soon) will be using Polar instead of Lemon Squeezy. This change applies to new purchases only.
Users who bought a licence on Lemon Squeezy will continue to use it and manage activations via the orders page.

Earlier updates
- 2026.3 — March 2026This release introduces a new setting for island spacing and updated file icons. NEW Add icons for more files Introduce a new setting to select the space between islands from three pre-defined options. IMPROVED Update the icons on old files with new logos. Fix the missing file icon association.JetBrains
- 2026.2 — February 2026Due to recent API changes and rendering issues in the IDEs, we are forced to remove the old flat version of the themes (non-islands) and keep only the Island variant. This choice will help us keeping quality on the Island mode (which now becomes the only mode available), providing an optimal UX instead of finding compromises to keep both modes. By removing the non-islands themes we also removed related settings (enable islands mode e show borders). NEW Add new file icons Add a new action to instantly deactivate the plugin. This command frees up the current activation slot, expires the trial period and disables the plugin. Moved all the plugin actions into a custom Vira Theme menu. This new menu allows you to change the accent colour, open customisations and activate or deactivate the plugin. IMPROVED Improved Islands UI in some areas of the shell Aligned colors in lists for hovered and selected items. They now use the same color. FIXED Fix unstyled menu borders on Windows Fix.kts file icons Fix color glitches around the IDE Fix blurred file and folders icons Fix color for shortcuts in tooltipsJetBrains
